Q is for Quokka

How cute is this ‘selfie loving’ marsupial? It is found mainly on Rottnest Island, (named after Rat’s nest Island as Quokkas were once considered as large ‘vermin’), they once were widespread across Australia but human colonization have impacted their habitat. Tourist selfies with the Quokkas have featured their candid happy expressions, making them all the more adorable and has raised awareness of their precarious status.
