A note to our US Customers

You may have noticed that buying things from abroad will be getting a little more complicated from the 28th of August- which is when the new tariffs come into place. With the removal of the ‘de minimis’ exemption- goods valued under $800 were not subject to duties and taxes, and we were able to ship most of our orders out to you, problem free- but unfortunately that is now about to change.

You will now be subject to full US customs duties, taxes and fees, including the new tariff of 10% increase on top. So for us to make your shipments smoother, Studio Le Cocq have decided to choose DDP ‘Delivered Duty Paid’ upfront. This means you should have no surprise fees, faster custom clearances and less risk of your package being held at the border, but it does mean an increase on price on checkout in the form of a ‘sales tax’.

We have also learned that between the 29th of August and late January 2026, there is also a flat fee of $80 on the import of any commercial goods (no matter the cost) coming in via the national postal networks, like Royal Mail and USPS, this is because USPS has not had enough time to adapt to the new tariff system, and is using this flat fee to cover any duty/import fees from incoming goods.

We usually ship our samples via Royal Mail International Tracked, but we will no longer do so, and instead use a commercial shipper like UPS/FedEx. We are concerned that samples will be classed as commercial goods, so using a commercial shipper, will decrease the risk of this fee.

So from now on, an automatic DDP fee will be added to your checkout experience in the form of a ‘sales tax’, until a further adaptations can be made.

We are so sorry you are experiencing these changes. We at Studio Le Cocq love our US customers, and we hope to continue making your homes extra special with our wallpapers and fabrics.
