A note to our US Customers
You may have noticed that buying things from abroad will be getting a little more complicated from the 28th of August- which is when the new tariffs come into place. With the removal of the ‘de minimis’ exemption, goods valued under $800 were not subject to duties and taxes, and we were able to ship most of our orders out to you, problem free- but unfortunately that is now about to change.
You will now be subject to full US customs duties, taxes and fees on all orders, including the new tariff of 10% increase on top. So for us to make your shipments smoother, Studio Le Cocq have decided to choose DDP ‘Delivered Duty Paid’ upfront. This means you should have no surprise fees, faster custom clearances and less risk of your package being held at the border, but it does mean an increase on price on checkout in the form of a ‘sales tax’.
Unfortunately, this also means samples of our fabrics and wallpapers may also be liable to custom duty and taxes, as they do not fall under the $1 threshold. We will however state that they are commercial samples on the package.
We are so sorry you are experiencing these changes. We at Studio Le Cocq love our US customers, and we hope to continue making your homes extra special with our wallpapers and fabrics.
